Sprouts are really easy to grow and extremely nutritious. Growing them yourself is much cheaper than buying them, comes with less packaging and means they will be super fresh and delicious!
Humans eat a lot of grains and legumes such as wheat, chickpeas, lentils and beans. When you sprout these before eating them, biological processes in the seeds create an immense amount of nutrients (vitamins B and C multiply by 5 to 10 times inside the seed!), making them more easily digestible and nutritious. As a bonus, they also taste great :)
You can sprout lots of seeds (see table below for ideas) and although soaking times and rinses may vary, the general principles are the same:
